A half-dome shade in brushed steel on a slim stem and a flat round base. The light sits under the dome and falls downward: close, warm, contained. Not a reading lamp that floods the room — a pool of light for the corner you're actually using.
Touch the top to switch it on, and again to dim it. It charges over USB-C and runs cordless, so it moves with you: a desk, a shelf, a bedside table, the end of a dinner table. At around 16 cm it's small enough to sit anywhere and solid enough to feel like metal, not a gadget.
